In political campaigns over the past year and a half, SEIU in Maryland and in the District of Columbia have had unrivaled success. Our candidates for Governor (O'Malley), Mayor (Fenty and Dixon), and Comptroller (Franchot), as well as for the State Legislature and City Councils have been victorious. That would not have happened without the hard work and contributions of SEIU members from throughout the State and District.
We look forward to another important political year in 2008. We will work to put a friend of working families in the White House as well as pro-working family majorities in both houses of Congress.
Our Member Political Organizers will engage, educate, energize and mobilize voters.
From the halls of Congress to the city streets, we will fight to make our country, our state and our cities better places for all SEIU members and all working families.
